A commission by Robyn Penny, for Trent Cole and Paige Bell, on their wedding day. This piece has themes of childhood, time passing, memories, and juxtaposes rhythmic sections with sections that are free. A ticking clock sounds throughout, and the performers have to (roughly) line up with the electronics. David Suzuki speaks near the end of the work, clips that are meaningful to me as they relate to the climate crisis we are in, how we see ourselves, and his journey. It is 12 minutes in length to perform. The PDF is 23 pages (full score + cello part). Please contact me for the electronics. The preview is comprised of the title page, performance notes, various pages from the full score, and the first page of the cello part.
